Antique early 1900s Last Rites/Sick Call Religious Altar Shadow Box with religious relics.
The shadow box is complete with a 3D Statue of La Pieta behind painted glass on the top half, and an image of the Last Supper on the bottom door.
The wooden frame is most likely made from oak and has a fair amount of wear and tear due to age, though the entire shadow box is in overall stable and fair condition. TLC is absolutely needed when handling. Would recommend reinforcing at some point, especially if it will be hung on a wall to display.
The relics included in the box:
3 candles
Silver plated communion plate
2 handkerchiefs
Aluminum foil wrapped cotton ball said to be saturated with holy oil from Greece (I did not open)
Bag with one (empty) bottle of alleged holy water from Jordan River, the other with alleged holy oil (contents inside, I did not open).
Single bottle said to contain blessed oil, there appears to have been some sort of oil at some point, but doesn’t appear to be any left. I have not opened
