16” Vintage Antique German Bisque Porcelain China Head Doll with cloth body.
This is more likely a mid-century reproduction of an antique low brow German China head doll. In the 1920s-1960s kits were made and distributed from Japan.
The dress the doll is wearing seems to be silk like, if not actual silk. The clothing seems to be very fragile and has a significant amount of wear and tear and needs to be handled with TLC with it being so delicate. There’s dress is sewn onto the doll so it cannot be removed without tearing. There doesn’t seem to be any damage to the cloth body, and there is a “5” marked in the porcelain on the base of the head plate.
There’s no breaks/repairs found, but does seem to be a long blemish along the right arm.
